Washington has announced a $20million reward for informants on the nuclear programme of Iran.
Details of the announcement were not available at press time, but The Blaze reports that the development followed growing concerns that the nuclear programme of Iran remained intact despite initial claims by both America and Israel, that their joint military assaults on the nuclear sites had knocked them out.
Both Israel, an undeclared nuclear power state which seeks a military hegemony in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, including Iran, and America its main backer, had launched a far- fetched military attack on Iran, targeting its four nuclear sites.
Following the attack which America tagged ” Operation Midnight Hammer,” both Washington and Tel Aviv claimed classic success , with American President, Donald Trump, claiming that the programme had been ” obliterated “
An official statement which broke news of the offer of reward, said the information had to relate to the sites, equipment and personnel involved in the nuclear programme.
It added that Washington was ready to ” relocate” the informants outside Iran, apparently for their security.
News of the offer by Washington came as President Trump confirmed that talks between Iran and America continued.
Iran had maintained that its nuclear programme was for non- military goals and that it would not give up its pursuit of that aim.
Though the war has largely ebbed, both Iran and America continue to trade occasional gunfire in infrequent flashes.
The war is largely blamed for the massive loss of seats by Republicans in the recent midterm poll in America.
Israel is the only nuclear military power in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.
Other nuclear military states in the world are France, Britain, China, India, Pakistan, America and Russia, which is credited with having the largest stock, country -by -country, of the dreaded nuclear weapons across the world.
North Korea shares the same status with Israel as unofficial nuclear weapon states.
