There was pandemonium in Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, on Sunday, when a petrol tanker suffered brake failure, collided with another tanker and burst into flames, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
The incident happened along the Old Lagos-Asaba Road, close to Festy Pharmacy, opposite Orogodo Primary School, Agbor.
According to an eye- witness who craved anonymity, the fuel-laden tanker allegedly lost control following a suspected brake failure and rammed into another tanker along the busy road.
The collision resulted in a fire outbreak, which engulfed the fuel-laden tanker and spread to nearby properties, including vehicles parked along the roadside.
