The Super Eagles of Nigeria last night in Rabat, Morocco, beat Gabon 4-1 to raise the hopes of Nigerians regarding the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
The Eagles, after conceding a late equalizer in regulation time, went on to drub the Gabonese by four goals to one.

Akor Adams had set Nigeria on the path of victory with a 78th minute goal.

But, against the run of play, Gabon levelled scores when a shot from a Gabonese attacker ricocheted against the calf of Onyeka to beat a displaced Stanley Nwabali in goal for Nigeria.
With just a minute to go in added time, Victor Osimhen missed a clear opportunity to take Nigeria up when he shot wild with just the goalkeeper to beat.
The regular time for the game thus ended with a goal apiece, thus going to extra time during which Nigeria showed class with goals from Osimhen who scored a brace, and Chidera Ejuke, to take final scores to four goals to one.
Nigeria will meet the winner of the second match between Cameron and Congo.
