Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in the state and across the country as they mark this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

In a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor urged Muslims to use the occasion for sober reflection on the life and virtues of the Prophet, who preached peace, love, tolerance, humility, and selfless service.

Oborevwori stressed that Nigeria’s quest for unity and stability requires all citizens, irrespective of religion, to embrace these ideals in order to foster social harmony and national progress.
He praised the Muslim community in Delta for their consistent role in strengthening peace, growth, and cohesion in the state, while reaffirming his administration’s resolve to pursue policies that guarantee inclusiveness, mutual respect, and interfaith harmony.
“As we mark this sacred day, let us remember that our diversity is our strength and that we must all work together to build a peaceful and prosperous Delta State and Nigeria,” Oborevwori stated.
He wished the Muslim faithful a joyous celebration and prayed for their safety throughout the festive period.
