Non-Indigenes in Ughelli North salute Oborevwori at 62

Non-Indigene community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have felicitated with the state Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday, describing him as “a unifying leader whose inclusive governance continues to inspire hope across all ethnic nationalities in the state.”

The commendation was contained in a press statement issued on Tuesday by Chief Chima Ohale Raymond, Special Assistant to the Governor on Non-Indigene Affairs (Ughelli North) and President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Delta Central Chapter.

According to the statement, Chief Ohale, speaking on behalf of the Non-Indigene community, said Governor Oborevwori’s leadership style under the Renewed HOPE for MORE Agenda has deepened social inclusion, economic equity, and mutual respect among all residents, regardless of origin or tribe.

“His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is not just the Governor of Delta State — he is the governor of every Deltan, including Non-Indigenes who now feel more at home than ever before under his administration,” Chief Ohale stated.

“On this special occasion of his 62nd birthday, we, the Non-Indigene community in Ughelli North, proudly celebrate a man of vision, humility, and peace. Governor Oborevwori is a rare statesman whose leadership has strengthened the bond of unity in Delta State.”

Describing the governor as a “listening leader” and “silent transformer,” Chief Ohale applauded the administration’s commitment to grassroots development, security, and youth empowerment. He noted that Oborevwori’s open-door policy has made it easier for all communities — native and migrant — to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the state.

“As President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Delta Central, I speak for thousands of Igbo and other Non-Indigene families who have found opportunity and dignity under this administration. The governor has elevated the spirit of togetherness in Delta and deserves every accolade on his birthday,” he added.

He offered prayers for long life, divine protection, and renewed strength for the Governor, expressing confidence that Oborevwori’s tenure will leave an indelible legacy of unity, prosperity, and fairness.
