ALL six House of Representatives members, Speaker and all Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Legislators in the Delta State House of Assembly would dump their party for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, tomorrow, Tuesday.
The Blaze Newspaper exclusively gathered that the legislators would defect during the House plenary, citing the problem facing the PDP at the national level as reason for their defection.
With the defection of the legislators, Delta is now fully under the control of the ruling APC.
PDP, which had sway in Delta State for over 26 years, is now opposition party in the state it dominated since the inception of democracy in 1999.
The political equation in the state changed since the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, 26 council chairmen, their councillors, the State, LGA, ward and unit Excos moved to the APC on the 28th of April.
After tomorrow’s defection, there may be little or nothing left of the PDP in the oil rich Delta State.
