Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested 35 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations within Benin City, Edo State.
The Commission in a post on its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday.
“The suspects were arrested based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet- related fraud.
Items recovered from them include nine exotic cars, smartphones and laptops
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”, EFCC disclosed.
