The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation into Fuji music legend, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, following a petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over alleged unruly behaviour that reportedly obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft.
According to the petition, the incident occurred on August 5, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and was said to contravene provisions of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has directed the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Airport Command to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged misconduct.

“The IGP has ordered a comprehensive probe into the matter to ensure justice is served,” Adejobi said, adding that the police remain committed to upholding safety and security in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
He further assured aviation stakeholders of stronger collaboration to enforce compliance with aviation laws and maintain operational safety.
